Minecraft music made fair!
Ever since 1.20 music balance in Minecraft has gotten weird. Some biomes would include a limited amount of tracks making them play over and over again! Before 1.18, aside from underwater, music in the overworld was random! This pack aims to bring that back. 26.2 made it even worse, tracks like infinite amethyst have a very low chance of playing.
So what is changed?
Basically aside from underwater and deep dark, every biome in the overworld plays the same music. Track which I felt didn't match the vibe were put in the main menu. C418's music is prioritized. Creative mode mostly plays Volume Beta Tracks.
List of changes
Overworld music - music.game: Key, Subfoofer Lullaby, Living Mice, Haggstorm, Minecraft, Oxygene, Mice on Venus, Dry Hands, Wet Hands, Clark, Sweden, Danny are there with weight 1, so basically the same way it was before any new music was added. There is also an added event called music.game_new which plays non C418 tracks - it also has weight of 1. Basically all non-c418 tracks included in it take only one slot in the randomized queue.
Overworld music - music.game_new: Includes: Stand Tall, Left to Bloom, One More Day, Floating Dream, Comforting Memories, An Ordinary Day, Firebugs, Aerie, Echo in the Wind, A Familiar Room, Featherfall, Watcher, Eld Unknown, Endless, Lilypad, O's Piano, Broken Clocks, Fireflies, Memories, Ebb, Home, Shores. All new tracks not listed here play either on Creative or in the main menu.
Overworld music - underwater: Unchanged.
Overworld music - deep_dark: So Below, Ancestry and Deeper have weight of 4, other than that music.game plays. There is a very low chance for newer tracks besides ones listed here.
Nether music: Concrete Halls, Dead Voxel, Warmth, Ballad of the Cats, Chrysopoeia, Rubedo, So Below play in all biomes of the nether. Rubedo no longer is the most common song, because all of the have default weight of 1.
Creative Mode music: Blind Spots, Biome Fest, Haunt Muskie, Aria Math, Taswell, Dreiton have weight of 12 making the play the most often in the creative mode. Labyrinthe and Puzzlebox have weight of 4. Music.game can also play it here, but creative exclusive music is prioritized.
Main Menu music: All original menu tracks (Moog City 2, Mutation, Floating Trees and Beginning 2) have weight 4. Infinite Amethyst has weight of 3. Wending, Bromeliad, Crescent Dunes, yakusoku, komorebi, pokopoko, Below and Above, Nightly also play here with the weight of 1.
For a better expierience you should use Simple Music Control. It allows you to more precisely control how often music plays and stops it from playing while a music disc in a jukbox is playing.
